About Me

I am Reihaneh Ghasemian Roshan (my friends call me Rero /ri:ro/) aka Riana.

I received my M.S. in Computer Science from Shahid Beheshti University, where I completed my thesis under the supervision of Dr. Saeed Reza Kheradpisheh and Dr. Hadi Farahani. My thesis focused on applying deep neural networks and sequence-to-sequence learning to financial time-series prediction. Prior to that, I earned my B.S. in Statistics and Applications from Allameh Tabatabaei University.

Throughout my master’s research, I primarily used PyTorch as my framework of choice, which allowed me to build and evaluate experimental deep learning models. My broader academic interests include machine learning, deep learning, data mining, time-series analysis, financial data science, and big data systems.

Currently, I am a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at Stevens Institute of Technology, where my research explores deep learning for wireless communication systems, with a focus on channel estimation in 5G networks. Beyond this, I actively follow new developments in anomaly detection, contrastive learning, meta-learning, and self-supervised learning, aiming to bridge theory and practice across domains such as wireless networks, e-commerce search ranking, and anomaly detection in manufacturing.
